Coaching Staff

Christina Virtucio, Competition Coach

Coach Tina started cheering at the age of seven. She loved the sport so much she started coaching when she was in high school. Coach Tina joined our PFCA family as a coach when her oldest daughter, Coach Bella, joined our sideline program in 2013. Shortly after, she became the director of our sideline program. Later, in an effort to grow our competition program, Coach Tina helped start up our half-year competition team. She has been coaching our full year teams for several years now. Her favorite part of cheerleading is working with athletes to grow not only their skills, but to foster a hard working team mentality and true love of the sport. In her seventh season with PFCA, Coach Tina will be coaching our junior team, Prestige.

Outside of cheerleading, Coach Tina attended Trenton State College, where she earned a degree in Elementary Education. She currently teaches fifth grade in the Hopewell Valley Regional School District, where she was awarded "Teacher of the Year" last year. In her free time, Coach Tina loves to spend time with her husband, two daughters, and two Cocker Spaniels.

Kim Barta, Competition Coach

Coach Kim grew up in the greater Atlanta area cheering competitively for high school and all star programs. She has been a part of our PFCA family since 2015 when her oldest daughter joined our sideline program. She began giving back to PFCA as our purchasing director, and in 2018 she started coaching for our competition program. Coach Kim also works hard to design and create much of the cute spirit wear you’ll see our cheerleaders and coaches wear throughout the season! Coach Kim loves to watch our athletes grow throughout the course of the season and is excited to be coaching Prestige this season!

Outside of cheerleading, Coach Kim attended Rutgers University, where she majored in Communication and Organizational Design. She now works as a Human Resources professional for a global financial institution. She loves being outdoors and spending time with her husband and three children.

Aly Martin, Competition Coach

Coach Aly started her cheerleading career at PFCA. She competed with us for five years and then moved on to cheer one season with the Pennsbury High School program. She started as a junior coach with us when she was a sophomore in high school and has been coaching with us ever since for levels 1 to 3. She is excited to watch our athletes grow and learn in all the components of this sport as she coaches Pride for her 7th season!

Outside of cheerleading, Coach Aly is a senior at Holy Family University where she is majoring in Elementary Education. Coach Aly loves to spend time with her niece, her husband, and her dog, Conor. Whenever she gets the chance, Coach Aly loves to visit Disney World!

Tarisa Bosack, Sideline Director and Coach

Coach Boz started cheerleading for a local pee wee team in Scranton, PA. She cheered throughout high school. She also was a captain for her team at Bloomsburg University. She continued cheering and dancing professionally for an arena football team in Wilkes-Barre, PA for three years. She coached a high school team in Dunmore, PA before she moved to Bucks County. She coached at Pennsbury High School for one season, where she coached Coach Amanda and Coach Tara. She joined our PFCA family two years ago when she began coaching our sideline program, of which she is now the director. She is excited to work with both sideline teams for her 3rd season of coaching for us!

Outside of cheerleading, Coach Boz attended Bloomsburg University, where she earned a degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. She also went on to earn a Master’s in Elementary Education from Cabrini University. Coach Boz now teaches Pre-K in Pennsbury School District. In her free time, she loves spending time with her husband and her daughter.

Amanda Gaughan, Competition Coach

Coach Amanda started cheering in seventh grade with PFCA. Over the years, she cheered at Charles Boehm Middle School, Pennsbury High School, Tulane University, and Rider University. Coach Amanda started as a junior coach during her sophomore year of high school with our sideline program. She has also coached with our half-year and full-year competition teams. Her favorite thing about coaching is watching the athletes learn about teamwork and dedication throughout the season. We’re excited to have Coach Amanda coaching Prestige this season.

Outside of cheerleading, Coach Amanda is a senior at Rider University, where she is majoring in Secondary Education and Mathematics. In her free time, she loves going to the park and spending time with her family.

Courtney Edelstein, Special Abilities Coach

Coach Courtney joined our PFCA seven years ago when her daughter started cheerleading. She has coached our special abilities team along with her daughter, Coach Grace, for five seasons. Her favorite thing about cheerleading is watching athletes develop confidence and shine with their teammates. We are excited to have Coach Courtney work with our special abilities team this season!

Outside of cheerleading, Coach Courtney attended the University of Virginia, where she earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Teaching Elementary Education. She now teaches sixth grade at Newtown Friends School. In her free time, Coach Courtney loves spending time with her family and three Golden Doodles. She also loves reading, baking, laughing, and shopping at HomeGoods and TJ Maxx.

Amy Alvarez, Competition Coach

Coach Amy fell in love with cheer at the age of three watching the Morrisville High School cheerleading team. As soon as she turned five, she signed up for the Morrisville Little Bulldogs cheerleading program. She also cheered for Holy Trinity School and Conwell Egan Catholic on the sidelines and at competitions. She joined our PFCA family last season when her daughter was a member of our sideline and half-year programs. She is excited to be coaching Pride for her first season and is looking forward to seeing what the team will accomplish!

Coach Amy attended BCCC, where she majored in Psychology. She now works as a Sales Manager at Airgas. Outside of cheerleading, she loves to watch her son play soccer, travel, and spend time with her family.

Sheyla Simmers, Competition Coach

Coach Shey started cheerleading in 2007 with PFCA. She cheered competitively with us and with Penndel Wildcats. Coach Shey’s favorite parts about cheerleading are the bonds formed between teammates and the forever friends it gave her. We are so excited to have Coach Shey coaching Pride for her first season!

Outside of cheerleading, Coach Shey works as a pharmacy technician. She also plans to attend nursing school in the near future. In her free time, Coach Shey loves spending time with her niece and crafting.

Tara Hammer, Sideline Coach

Coach Tara started her cheerleading career with Saint Joseph the Worker’s CYO team. She then moved on to cheer at Pennsbury High School for four years. Her favorite thing about cheerleading is band dances. Coach Tara is excited to bring her eight years of cheerleading experience to the sideline teams this season!

Outside of cheerleading, Coach Tara attends BCCC and is majoring in Early Childhood Education. She also is working at Little Gym, where she loves helping young children. In her free time, Coach Tara loves watching Netflix and spending time with her family and friends.

Karyn Wire, Sideline Coach

Coach Karyn started cheerleading with the Morrisville Little Bulldogs when she was eight years old. She continued cheering through middle school when she cheered for Pennwood Middle School. Coach Karyn has been a softball coach for 15 years, and is looking forward to transferring her knowledge to coaching cheerleading. She is excited to be coaching sideline for her first season!

Outside of cheerleading, Coach Karyn works in real estate. She is always keeping busy running around with her three children. In her free time Coach Karyn runs a charity called “Justin’s Jammer’s,” which works to raise awareness for pediatric brain tumors and raise funds for families affected by the disease.

Mackenzie Gaughan, Competition and Sideline Junior Coach

Coach Mackenzie started cheering with PFCA when she was five. She now is cheering at Pennsbury High School for her ninth season. She started coaching our sideline teams three years ago. She loves watching our athletes form bonds with their teammates throughout each season. We are excited to have Coach Mackenzie work with our sideline and Prestige teams this season!

Isabella Virtucio, Competition Junior Coach

Coach Bella started cheering with our sideline program five years ago. She also cheered for our half-year and full-year competition teams. She also danced for six years. Now Coach Bella is cheering at Airborne Elite All Stars. Last year she coached our half-year team. Coach Bella loves cheerleading because of the friendships it creates and all the life lessons it teaches. We are excited to have Coach Bella work with Pride this season.

Victoria Davis, Sideline Junior Coach

Coach Tori started cheerleading with PFCA in our sideline program and later joined our competition program. She is now cheering her tenth season at Pennsbury High School. Coach Tori started coaching our sideline program during her freshman year. She also works hard to coach our special abilities team. Her favorite thing about cheerleading is the lifelong friends she has made. We are happy to have Coach Tori coaching our sideline teams this season!

Isabella Davis, Sideline Junior Coach

Coach Bella started cheerleading with PFCA in our sideline program and later joined our competition program. She is now cheering her tenth season at Pennsbury High School. She started coaching sideline three years ago. Coach Bella also coaches our special abilities team. Her favorite thing about this sport is all the friendships she’s made over the years. We’re excited to have Coach Bella with our sideline teams this season!

Julianna Taggart, Competition Junior Coach

Coach Julianna started her cheerleading career with PFCA. She is now cheering with Pennsbury High School for her tenth season. Her favorite thing about cheerleading is the feeling of accomplishment when routines hit at competitions. Coach Julianna is excited to be coaching Prestige for her first season!
